Abstract

Some podand sulfonamides were designed to Cu2+ ion recognition. Some green chemistry metrics were evaluated in order to know the environmental impact of the reactions. Cu2+ complexes studio with the ligands were done, given adequate complexation constants for Cu2+ recognition by ligands LA2 y LA6. All complexes precipitated instantaneously when directly react with copper ions resulting in blue complexes. For LA2 a color change to olive green in 8 minutes was observed maybe due to a molecular reorganization. LA2 can be used as a part of an ion recognition kit that detect concentration in the order of 10-3 mol·dm-3.
