Abstract

Associated with the clinical evaluation of the child with a neuromuscular disease (NMD), the patient must undergo
additional studies (enzymatic, electrophysiological, imaging, anatomopathological) to confirm the diagnosis and,
when possible, predict the prognosis. Electroneuromyography (ENMG) includes a large number of procedures, such as the conventional electromyogram (EMG)
and motor (ECNM) and sensory (ECNS) nerve conduction studies that will be studied in this paper. These procedures
help to clarify the origin of a lesion, its topography, the degree of • severity of the affectation, the efficacy
of the treatment and the prognosis of each case.
