Abstract

Skin and mucous membrane conditions are a pathological process that frequently occurs in living beings. Ozonated oils are products with special properties for the maintenance of the skin, which have been shown to be oxygenating, regenerating, antioxidant and germicidal. Its stability and biological benefits make it possible to use it in multiple skin and mucous membrane pathologies, which is supported by preclinical and clinical studies. The objective of this review is to show the demonstrated benefits of treatment with ozonated oils on skin and mucosal conditions. It is concluded by reviewing the scientific literature that ozonated oils are an alternative for the management of skin and mucous membrane conditions due to their great germicidal power, as a healer, improving the oxygenation of tissues and helping in regeneration.
