Abstract

This work was carried out with 5148 animals as samples from the UEB "Mariana Grajales", Bayamo municipality, belonging to Poultry Company from Granma Province. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of magnetically treated water on some health and productive indicators, in semi-rustic seed chicks. The animals were divided into two groups (experimental and control) of 2 574 chicks each. The experimental group received magnetically field treated drinking water (ATM), while the control group received natural water without magnetic field treatment. The study was performed during 21 days. During all the study, the animals were kept under normal feeding conditions for their category. The water treatment, an HP magnetizer with a speed of 0.6 - 2.5 m / s was used. Magnetically treated water underwent physical-chemical and microbiological analysis. Mortality, viability, live weight and height of the animals in different breeding periods were recorded. The results showed that animals how received magnetic field water treated, significantly increased theirs body weight, including organs weights (liver, spleen, heart), and the length of skeletal development (tibia, femur, tarsus) and improved feasibility values. This study demonstrated the beneficial action of magnetic field water treated use by which increase productive indicators on semi-rustic birds, so this type of technology is recommended with a view to increasing the yield of production birds for human consumption.
