Abstract

PMM is useful in the manufacturing of medica! de­vices and materials as dental and ocular prosthesis, bone cements, and others. An analytical methodology for the GC-MS determina­tion of extractable substances from PMMA-based biomaterials was developed. The technique was well implemented related to its sta­tistical parameters (linearity, reproducibility, specificity) and was utilized in preclinical assays of the bone cement BONACRYL.
