Abstract

Steroids are a group of structurally related substances that are widely distributed in plants And animals. Their various applications as drugs are well known. Its importance today is still valid since known more than 40 years ago, mainly due to its powerful biological effect, its great commercial value and its stability in the market. This has created a real challenge for pharmacists and synthetic chemists who day by day they are trying to find new compounds with higher potency and less undesirable effect. It is for this reason that we are still working on the chemical synthesis of structures with greater specificity in their action. pharmacological, taking into account changes in the base structure of the molecule and the presence of certain groups at key positions of the cyclopentaneperhydrophenanthrene skeleton.
