Abstract

The theme of this work was suggested by the convenience of obtaining these compounds as the starting point for further re­searches about comaltammino complexes in the chemical form in which this element is found in the "carbonate-ammonia liquors" of the nickel
procesing plant "René Ramos Latour", Nicaro, Oriente province. The chlorides of hexaammino cobalt III and aguopentaammino cobalt III were reacted with silver carbonate obtaining by substitution reactions, the carbonates of those complexes. Spectrophotometric methods were used to check that the cations remained unaltered in this process. A numerical analysis was carried out taking into account the charac­teristics of consecutive equilibrium processes, which are mainly governed by the Kps, having found results that are in agreement with experimental data.
